A person is suspected of being possessed in a variety of situations, including:ġ. The Adze's influence would negatively affect the people who lived around their host. There's certain behaviours that the local people recognise as being possesed by Adze. It is believed that if a child or person is bitten by an Adze, they turn into a witch or wizard. The creature does not have to kill in some cases only take enough blood to survive without taking the liver and heart. In this case the victim will become infected with a deadly disease. If the Adze is deterred from feeding for a long period of time ,it may go crazy and feed on everything in its path. In firefly form, the adze would pass through closed doors at night and suck blood from people as they slept. In the insect form, the adze will suck your blood while you sleep and spread disease, which is a possible explanation for malarial outbreaks. They can transform themselves into any number of common insects which are seemingly harmless, and very difficult to capture. The Adze is a type of vampire creature who turns into a firefly or other insect to feed before returning to its human form. The Adze is a vampire in the legends of the Ewe people of Ghana and Togo.
